onto today’s topic: all or nothing 🗻
the ultimate test of prioritization is if you’re able to put your all towards something for a set period of time.
no matter how much a pro you are at time management, it gets to a point where you won’t be making any progress towards the 5 buckets you’re dedicating your time and energy towards. when it comes to working on a new project, fill that bucket rapidly, and then move on to the next.
i have this problem, and i’m unlearning it gradually. i like to fill multiple buckets simultaneously, so that if in the case that my favourite one tips over, i have a few backup options. 😬
this is incredibly tech bro of me, but build fast and fail faster. it’s the only way you’ll actually make progress. nurturing those backup options is just an inefficient use of your time and distracts you from riding the wave of any momentum you have.
balance doesn’t mean perfectly divvying up your time between health, social, professional and personal every week. it means going all-in when needed, and giving yourself adequate time to recuperate by focusing on other aspects afterwards.
go all in, or you’ll be left with nothing to show for yourself. 🎯
with my midterms and finals wrapping up, i’m so excited to discard my school bucket soon and focus entirely on learning about the things i care about and tangibly building towards it.
my mantra for the next couple of months is all or nothing. :)
