always ask questions
a good signal 🤔

onto today’s topic: always ask questions 🤔
the smartest people i know ask the most questions — regardless of whether or not they’re “good” or “bad” questions. the only way to improve depth of insight is to increase one’s surface area of knowledge and perspective.
being curious is the greatest trait someone can harbour. it’s proof that someone cares, wants to improve upon the gaps in their understanding and is excited.
i don’t think there are dumb questions. i do, however, think there are dumb ways to ask questions: asking a google-able question to a scientist you’ve been dreaming of chatting with, asking culturally insensitive questions even if it is rooted in genuine curiosity, and asking with ego. asking a question is admitting to not knowing something, and there’s humility in that, so it only makes sense to accept it.
ask with humility and ingenuity, and do it all the time. debunk assumptions, seek clarity, and dig deeper, and you’ll be left with depth. 🌊
with suck an open-sourced wealth of information at our disposal as a result of the internet, there’s very little excuse to be complacent with uncertainty. curiosity is an innate driver of true learning. asking all your questions is how you cultivate that.
“i have no questions” is impossible. there’s always more to uncover about anything. asking questions is my greatest signal for a smart person who is properly socialized and passionate.
channel that kid that always asked “why?” and make use of the limitless resources to answer those questions. drive your “T” with curiosity.
