an innate rhythm
shoutout world 🌎
the world tends to naturally fall into some sort of rhythm. most of the time we’re tuned out while hiding behind noise-canceling headphones or lost in our own conversations, but if we just paused and listened to the background noise, we’d hear the patterns.
there’s actually a concept in physics for this called entrainment. it’s what happens when two oscillating systems are near each other. they eventually just fall into the same beat.
you can hear it if you pay attention. the random sounds of a street or an office don’t stay random for very long. this feels especially true listening to the colourful sounds that the streets of punjab have to offer. they have this innate pull to sync up, slowly molding into a steady, collective rhythm.
it’s like the world is constantly trying to find a pulse, and all we have to do is stop and listen for the frequency
