routine is sacred
control freak over my own life 🤝
i’ve been pretty frustrated by my lack of routine and especially lack of having full control over my diet, so i’m pretty excited to regain flow state once i start my sf internship with browserbase and then settling in my house at unc for the year afterwards.
i’ve even been writing these blog posts sporadically, which is unsettling. i like having a reliable flow to my day, even if it just in specific aspects. i love some spontaneity, don’t get me wrong, but i’ve definitely been missing the mundane things like meal prepping, exercising on a regular schedule, running to the grocery store, calling my family at a set time, and a lot more.
i didn’t give myself much opportunity to settle into a routine during my study abroad semester, because i was hopping on a plane to a new country every other week. now, i’m in philly hanging out, and then home to relax before starting work on june 1st, so it’ll still be a bit before i get into routine.
i’m a bit of a control freak when it comes to handling the reins of my life. the structure that routine establishes is necessary for me to feel totally okay with going with the flow during the in-between blocks of time.
