i can’t stress enough how important it is to find people you can be silly with. it’s a good test for how comfortable you really are around your loved ones - would you feel embarrassed being silly or unhinged? do you think you’d be judged? do you find yourself second guessing before doing something?
maybe you just haven’t spent enough time with this person yet, or maybe there truly is some underlying incompatibility.
laughing is easier when you can be silly. there are so many more inside jokes and moments when you can just made eye contact at an awkward time and burst out laughing.
when you’ve established this common ground of just being truly authentic, it immediately also becomes easier to connect. it’s a truer connection. if you’re too “strange” for someone, so beat it. find people that match your silly.
life is too short not to laugh about dumb things.
